**Biology of the Cancer Cell: From Molecular Mechanisms to Therapeutic Implications**  
**Semester:** Spring  
**Offered:** 2027, every two years

Directed by Alex Toker, Professor in the[ ](http://www.bidmc.org/Research/Departments/Pathology.aspx)Department of Pathology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This semester long course takes students on a molecular approach journey to examine the basis of human cancer – from deep dive on genetic aberrations in a cancer cell, to signaling pathways, and big picture cellular and organismal perspectives on cancer. In addition, students participate in workshops where they work on developping their communication skills by writing a research proposal, and practicing giving feedback.
