Kristin studies the role of chromatin remodeling complexes in cancer and human disease. Her research integrates genomics, bioinformatics, and biochemistry to unravel fundamental principles of chromatin regulation as well as the mechanisms of specific mutations in these protein complexes in disease. Outside of lab, she loves science communication, going to art museums and concerts, performing classical music in several ensembles around Boston, and exploring new foods!

Kristin first heard about the LCBC at recruitment and then at orientation events. LCBC has been a wonderful community at Harvard that has continued to foster her interests in cancer biology, and she's grateful for the incredible interdisciplinary network of students and faculty she has met here.
