SUMMARY:DF/HCC Seminars in Oncology Series with Morag Park
DESCRIPTION:
	Morag Park, Ph.D.
Professor and Director, Goodman Cancer Reserach Centre, McGill University, Montreal, Canada

Dr. Park is a full Professor in the Departments of Biochemistry, Medicine, and Oncology at McGill University. Her lab studies the molecular mechanisms of oncogenic activation of receptor tyrosine kinases and mechanisms for cell transformation using the Met, hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and oncoprotein as a model. They are interested in how signals are integrated from these receptors in normal cells, and how they are altered in transformed cells. Dr. Park's research goals have now developed into a broader interest in understanding how multiple genetic alterations and epigenetic events synergies to promote tumorigenesis and progression in human breast cancer.
