Kasidet grew up in Thailand and graduated with a B.S. degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University in 2018. While at Yale, he worked in Dr. Dieter Söll’s lab studying the functions of tRNAs and ribosomal proteins, as well as in Dr. Mark Gerstein’s lab studying genome deconvolution methods for the human brain as part of the PsychENCODE project. To further pursue his goal in translating genomics research to human diseases, he joined Dr. Alexandra-Chloé Villani lab at Massachusetts General Hospital to study immune-related adverse events from checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy in cancer patients, using single cell RNA-seq. Now, as a PhD student in Dr. Catherine Wu’s lab, he is developing methods to interrogate T cell’s antigen specificity to study epitope spreading during immune response to cancer.
