Renee completed her undergraduate studies at Middlebury College and earned her bachelor’s degree in English and American Literatures in 2017. She then pursued her interest in tumor immunity as a research technician at the University of Pennsylvania, where her work centered on defining new treatment strategies for immunotherapy-resistant cancers. In 2022, she began her graduate training at Harvard Medical School and subsequently joined the laboratory of Dr. Philip Kranzusch at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for her dissertation research. In the Kranzusch lab, Renee is interested in how specialized nucleotide innate immune signals facilitate the process of tumor cell recognition and elimination. Ultimately, she hopes to employ insights gained from basic mechanistic biology to augment the transmission of these nucleotide signals for productive cancer therapy.
