CB211 Course

Molecular and Systems Level Cancer Cell Biology
Semester: Spring
Offered: 2024, every two years

Led by Harvard Medical School professors Peter Sicinski, Marc Vidal, and Jarrod Marto, this seminar-style course surveys a wide range of topics at the forefront of cancer biology. A roster of nine faculty members instruct students on a variety of topics from cancer epigenetics and tumor heterogeneity, to cancer metabolism, systems biology, proteomics, immune therapy in cancer and therapeutic development. The first session in each module serves as an introductory lecture to the topic; the second session represents a keynote lecture by faculty members;  the third session is designed to give each student the opportunity to present a research paper and lead a discussion, allowing students to synthesize and implement their knowledge while practicing presentation skills.
