Mentoring lunch with Saraswati Sukumar

Date and Time

September 13, 2022
12:00PM - 01:00PM EDT

You have been given the opportunity to have monthly mentoring lunches with the DFCI Seminars in Oncology speakers this Fall! These lunches are excellent opportunities for graduate students to network with visiting faculty and learn about cancer research being done at other institutions, in an informal setting. Our first Mentoring Lunch for the Fall semester is with Dr Saraswati Sukumar from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, on Tuesday September 13 at 12pm.

Dr. Saraswati Sukumar is a professor of Oncology and Pathology in Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Her lab is focused on using comprehensive gene expression (HOX genes focused), methylation and metabolomics (e.g., reactivated RAR-beta) analysis to identify alterations in breast cancer, and exploiting these for early detection and therapy. More info on Dr Sukumar’s research can be found here.

If you want to attend the mentoring lunch, please sign up here at your earliest convenience! There are 6 slots available. Please see below DFCI COVID Policy and requirements.

Thanks to our Student Steering Committee member, Ruitong, for helping organize this!
