Antonia Kowalewski
Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Gad Getz Lab
Antonia grew up in British Columbia, Canada, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Physics from Simon Fraser University in 2023. As an undergraduate, she pursued research projects in Canada and Germany, including investigations into gold nanoparticle therapeutics, dual-energy computed tomography, far-UVC radiation, DNA replication, and multivalent diffusive transport. After beginning her PhD at Harvard, Antonia joined the Getz Lab at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard for her dissertation research. There, she focuses on developing computational methods to characterize structural variation in cancer genomes, with the ultimate goal of improving patient stratification for precision oncology.
