Audrey grew up in New Hampshire and received her B.A. in Neuroscience from Bowdoin College where she completed her thesis work in Dr. Patsy Dickinson’s lab studying neuromodulation in the lobster cardiac system. She then worked as a Research Associate in Dr. Rob Manguso’s lab at the Broad Institute, using in vivo CRISPR screens to identify mechanisms of resistance and sensitivity to cancer immunotherapy. As a graduate student in Kathleen Burns’ lab at Dana Farber, Audrey studies how expression of the LINE-1 retrotransposon impacts the immune response to cancer.
