Susanna Dang
Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Carla Kim Lab
Susanna grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated in 2018 from the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with Honors. She conducted her senior thesis research in the lab of Dr. David Raulet, where she studied the regulation of Natural Killer Cell inhibitory receptor expression. She then worked as a technician in the Raulet Lab on a new project investigating the immunogenicity of the CRISPR/Cas9 enzyme. Following her passion for basic research with implications for improving human health, Susanna joined the lab of Dr. Carla Kim for her PhD work. There, she studies how differentiation programs drive tumorigenesis in lung adenocarcinoma, a type of non-small cell lung cancer.
