Fall Welcome

Harvard has more than a dozen biosciences graduate programs, with students focused on cancer research embedded in each. Cultivating a community where the students and faculty come together, share ideas, and collaborate remains a foundational goal. To encourage this, the Landry Cancer Biology Consortium hosts a Fall Welcome event for students and faculty at the start of every new academic year. Establishing and reinforcing this community early in the academic year is crucial for laying the foundation upon which future collaborations will be built. Moreover, this networking event is vitally important for welcoming newly arriving students to the cancer biology community, exposing them to the depth and breadth of the science being conducted here. First-year students use this opportunity to connect with faculty mentors and more senior students who serve as guides throughout their graduate careers.
